Translatina

A 93-minute documentary about issues faced by the Latin American trans population. Diverse testimonies narrate the fight for survival in a society where the stigma of being trans brings along indifference and physical and psychological violence. Reality is counteracted with dreams and aspirations of the trans population, which lacks State policies capable of recognizing and protecting them. Aimed at showing a more complete view, the documentary takes testimonies from different Latin American trans organizations, as well as from the State actors and civil organizations. Translatina shows that the violence exercised towards trans population is as hard as the absence of recognition towards them.
