Dear Friend of the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival,
As we enter this Holiday Season we wish to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your kind support of the Honolulu Gay and Lesbian Cultural Foundation (HGLCF), the proud producer of the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival, in Memory of Adam Baran. This past Memorial Day weekend the Festival successfully completed its 18th year with over 23 screenings and thousands of attendees.
We look forward to seeing you at our 19th Annual Film Festival, which will take place May 22 through 25, 2008 at the Honolulu Academy of Arts Doris Duke Theatre.
In addition to the outstanding films we showcase annually at the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival, HGLCF will be hosting monthly screenings beginning February, 2008. Announcements will be sent shortly and also will be posted on www.hglcf.org, which is currently being revamped, and will be up by the end of this month.
As with most artistic productions, ticket sales do not cover all of the expenses of producing Honolulu's only Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. We wish to take this opportunity, at this time, to ask for any financial donations you or your business may be able to contribute. We know many of you have contributed over the years in various ways by renewing your memberships, donating monies, and giving donations "in kind" for which we continue to be very grateful. We would sincerely appreciate any additional financial support, as the proceeds will help us continue promoting thought provoking and positive messages to the greater community of its Gay, Les-bian, Bisexual and Transgender members. The Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation, which means that any contributions you may give to the HGLCF may be completely tax deductible for both Federal and State of Hawai'i income tax purposes.
